4-week
10-week Pre-sessional course
Course dates
Orientation: Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June (both orientation days are compulsory)
Course: Thursday 29 June to Thursday 7 September
Entry requirements
To enter, applicants must have a conditional offer for a postgraduate taught (Masters) programme from one of the following schools:
Computer Science
Economics and Finance
Management
Mathematics and Statistics.
If your school is not listed here and you wish to study on the 10-week Pre-sessional course, please contact English Language Teaching by emailing elt@st-andrews.ac.uk.
You must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subscore. If you require a visa to study in the UK, you must take the IELTS for UKVI version of the test.
To apply, you will need to provide a copy of your passport.

Applications are accepted until shortly before the courses begin. Please submit your application early to allow enough time to apply for a visa, if you need one.

Entry requirements
To enter, applicants must have a conditional or unconditional offer for any degree programme at the University of St Andrews
You must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-score. If you require a visa to study in the UK, and your offer is conditional, you must take the IELTS for UKVI version of the test.
To apply, you will need to provide a copy of your passport.
