The UK is the short version of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and that is the full name of the country. Britain is short for the Great Britain which is made up of England, Wales and Scotland.
英国其实是大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国的缩写。不列颠是大不列颠的省略说法，大不列颠岛是由英格兰、威尔士和苏格兰三个部分组成的。
误解二：英国女王叫做英格兰女王
There has not been a Queen of England since 1707. Queen Ann was the last ever King or Queen of England. Queen Elizabeth II (present) s title in the UK is Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland .
从1707年英国就没有英格兰女王了。安娜女王是最后一任英格兰女王。伊丽莎白二世（现任女王）的头衔全称是 托上帝洪福，大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国与其属土及领地之女王伊莉莎白二世 。
